Things to do in Negril, Jamaica

Negril is a big beach resort located on the island of Jamaica. It is very popular with US college students who go there during Spring Break. It is famous for its nightlife, most of which takes place in its many all-inclusive resorts. The most famous in Negril is Jungle. Negril also has lots of reggae concerts. 

Besides its nightlife Negril is also a great place for divers. Its shoreline is surrounded by a beautiful coral reef. Although this reef has been damaged a lot by pollution it is still great for scuba divers. There are also glass bottom boat tours in Negril that allow you to view the reef. Other aquatic activities in Negril include snorkeling, deep-sea fishing, jet skiing and sailing.  

Also worth a visit in Negril is the Appleton estate, where you can take a tour of the rum factory. Visitors can try the rum and even get a free bottle. Anancy Fun Park on Norman Manley Boulevard has a miniature golf course, go-cart track and carousel. 

Negril also has a lighthouse that is open for visitors. The steps are very steep, so come prepared. People who are afraid of heights should avoid this tour. The YS falls are also nice. This place charming place has a very nice atmosphere. Nature lovers should also enjoy the Mayfield falls and mineral spring tour. It includes a hike up the river and crossing bamboo bridge over a gorge. 

Negril has something to offer for everyone. It has great nightlife, fantastic beaches and beautiful natural landscapes.
